Woooohooooo!!! We met with Deacon Fred at St. John the Baptist RC Church in Wading River yesterday, and we are now officially scheduled to wed! It sounds almost as exciting to say as it felt to see our names written in the church's calendar.
The church is pretty, and Deacon Fred was great. He is retired from law enforcement, loves to golf, and has been a member of St. John's for many years. He made us feel really at ease and was very down-to-earth.
A huge bonus and convenience for all you guests is that the church and the catering hall are only 1.5 miles apart!

Let's see... we now have marked three things off the ever-growing to-do list, and only have about a thousand more to go!
