This year's Annual John Tyrcha Memorial Golf Outing (a.k.a. the Jala/Szpilka/Tyrcha clan family reunion) was up in Maine. We traveled up to Papoose Island in Raymond to spend time with the fam on Lake Sebago.

Everyone rented bungalows (one of which could've passed for the home of Snow White and the 7 dwarfs with 7 little cots all lined up in the attic), and I was laughed at for attempting to blockade a lock-less door with a glass coffee table. Has nobody else seen "The People Across the Lake"?! I was trying to protect my life! Turns out the only thing my MacGyver'ed barricade kept out was an offer of breakfast from my cousins next door. ;)
Aunt Jeanie and Uncle Joe had a packed house all week, and were great hosts! The weather wasn't too cooperative, but of course that didn't stop anyone from having a good time. Aunt Jeanie and Aunt Barbara had a smart idea to hang a tent, which turned out to be a rather amusing endeavor, but did keep out the downpour of rain! :)
Here are a few pictures from the weekend, where we also celebrated Grandma and Grandpa's 62nd Anniversary and Shep's 32nd Birthday. Talk about a jam-packed few days -- we even sang "Sto Lat!" 2 days in a row, like any good Polish family would do. Enjoy the pics and videos below!

What a great time it was! Can't wait to see you guys again. Let's do dress shopping day 2 soon!
Love, Aunt Barbara
I also had krusczyki (a type of twisty Polish fried dough). Watch out for that German Apple Ring Cake though!
