We popped into Hill Country BBQ Market for a quick dinner after class, which was not your typical NY cafe outing! The restaurant is set up in buffet stations so you go around, collect food, and get your "meal ticket" punched. You pay for the food you've eaten on the way out. Easy. The cool part is that there is live music there on Friday evenings and we saw one guy dressed up like a fancy cowboy playing the washboard! Pretty fun, huh?!
After dinner we headed back to the dance studio for an "Open House Party". The school hosts these once per month as a way to bring new students in. People can practice dancing to music played by a DJ, then students and teachers put on a mini show of the different dances the school offers classes on. The performers were pretty impressive, so needless to say Shep and I were not invited to be a part of the show. ;) After the students and teachers showcased their talents, a pair of really skinny young Argentinian men known as "The Lombard Twins" were introduced. Shep and I had never heard of them before, but they were a-w-e-s-o-m-e! Apparently they are top notch in the industry and very well-known. Rumor has it that Michael Jackson even hired them as dancers back in the good old days when he was still an entertainer before he lost his mind and turned weird.
Anyway, here is a YT clip of the Lombard Twins in action... enjoy!
