Dance Class

One thing I've always wanted to do is take a social dance class.  I mean, who doesn't love to dance?! And if you love doing something you might as well be good at it!!!  This may sound silly but I've always dreamed of taking dance classed with my future husband.  I can't really explain it... I just feel like it's a real engagement-like thing to do and it seems romantic in an old-fashioned sort of way.

So when we first got engaged I told Shep about my idea and he (surprisingly!) agreed to take lessons with me.  Although he won't admit it, I think he was actually a little hesitant at first but luckily for me he didn't have the heart to turn me down.  ;)  Have I mentioned lately how lucky I am to have such a wonderful fiance???  I AM!

To ease into our new dance endeavor, I signed us up for a 4 week beginner social dancing course at a nearby studio.  They teach you the basic steps of different dances: tonight we learned Waltz, Foxtrot and Swing.  Although nobody in the class confused us with Fred & Ginger after our first lesson, at least we didn't resemble this couple...

We were slightly better.  ;)  Stay tuned for next week's dance report!
