One of my co-workers recommended I visit East West Bridal Boutique. She bought her dress there a few years ago and described it as a "mom and pop shop" with great prices and friendly service. Since my time is running out and since Secaucus is a mere 4.1 miles away from Hoboken, I decided to give it a whirl. But how to get from Point A to Point B, hmmmm...
Enter Nicole with her bright idea of making acquaintance with...drum roll please... the NJ Transit bus system! I input the specifics into the the website's "itinerary planner" and thought it would be a fun little money-saving adventure to take the bus. Only, I didn't want to test it alone, so I roped poor Shep into coming with me. We wrote down all the bus numbers and

times, gathered our change together in a trusty plastic bag, and headed for the bus stop. Getting there was actually easier than I expected, except for the fact that the bus collection machines seemed to randomly flash numbers that didn't add up to the expected fare or the total of coins I was depositing so we're not really sure how much the trip cost, and our second bus driver didn't speak English and couldn't understand the name of the stop we were trying to get off at. No sweat though, we arrived at
Harmon Cove Outlet Center in one piece and in time for my appointment. Shep parked himself in the food court while I went to the bridal shop. I found and tried on a dress that was nice and very similar to what I have been looking for, and affordable. The only thing it was missing was fullness. Hmmm... I'm putting this one on the "maybe" list and we'll see if we can top it!

Unfortunately, the trip home was slightly more difficult than the trip to Secaucus. The bus showed up late, which made us miss our connecting bus, so we had t

o take the train from Secaucus to Hoboken. Not a big deal, it just meant a 40 minute wait in the Secaucus train station with an ice cream bar and some combos. It could've been worse!
