Well, you know what they say! The third time is a... DUD!? At least in this case it was. Dress Shopping Day number 3 involved my mom and I, Renate's in Lindenhurst, and The Wedding Salon of Manhasset.I kid you not when I tell you I tried on at least 15 to 20 dresses at Renate's, none of which really struck my fancy. I mean, in two hours we saw some b-i-g losers there. One very pretty dress actually had what looked to be a giant plain white bed sheet attached as the train! It was so hilarious, I wish I could find a picture to share with you. Talk about ruining an otherwise nice dress! The last dress I tried on at Renate's was the nicest, although looking back I think it was more of a water-mirage-in-the-desert effect than an actual hit, because that dress isn't even among the current list of contenders. Mom, on the other hand, tried on 3 or 4 gorgeous dresses that she found earlier that week. At least one of us made some progress in the attire category! :)
After working my biceps and triceps for 120 minutes (pulling those dresses on and off over my head is seriously tough work!) we drove 45 minutes to The Wedding Salon where I tried on even more dresses, including two that were really beautiful but waaaaaay to expensive to even consider with a straight face. Oh well! I did have fun strutting around the salon in them, humming along with the cheezy wedding music, complete with plastic bouquet in hand!
