Today I tried on a few gowns from Priscilla of Boston, in the Priscilla salon of NYC. I actually almost cancelled my appointment because I assumed all of the dresses were outrageously priced, I was nervous to go alone, and I didn't see anything on their website that really peaked my interest. But after spending a full week stressing about my lack of wedding attire, I figured it was better to do something rather than nothing in order to further my search. And boy am I glad I did!
I discovered two beautifully elegant gowns this afternoon and although I can't afford to pay the hefty price tags on either, I am so happy and relieved to know there are dresses out there that come so close to what I've been looking for all along. And I wasn't the only one impressed! Stacey (Shep's cousin and one of my bridesmaids) called during my appointment to check how it was going and then came by after she got out of work to take a look at the dresses I had picked out to try on. When Stacey walked into the salon I was decked out in one of the samples complete with shoes and veil, and she began to cry when she saw me! Although I didn't walk out with a dress, I definitely consider the day a success, and am looking forward to continuing my search for the perfect wedding gown! :)
