It's not all bells & whistles...

Wedding planning is fun, it really is! And mixed in with all the planning, and to-do lists, and decisions (bleck!) is real life. In between vendor appointments and color scheme choices we still wake up and go to work every day, do chores around the apartment, and occasionally even have disagreements or get stressed out. I know, it's hard to believe. ;)

But when these bickering bouts or stressed times ensue, we try to keep in mind that life isn't all bells & whistles and we will inevitably experience minutes, hours, or even days, of frustration in life. Just because the road will have bumps in it is no reason to avoid the trip altogether though! Shep is going to make fun of me for quoting my favorite Soap Opera "General Hospital", but here I go anyway because I really agree with the statements:
"Time is precious, and so is love. And we should never take either one for granted. There are no guarantees. Marriage is a risk, but so is anything worthwhile. You make the choice, you make the commitment, and you hope for the best just like any other couple."

"Life is short and love is rare, and it takes an idiot to waste one or both."
Now, there are a lot of different words Shep and I might use to describe one another on any given day, but idiot is definitely not one of them. So even though we will have bad days and good days together, and might sometimes annoy or anger the other person -- in the end, the ride together will have been completely worthwhile. I'm certain of it. ;)
