My Third Dress Fitting!!!

[This post is a bit delayed... the dress fitting was actually on March 24, 2009]

My third dress fitting was the first fitting that included the bottom half of my "dress". I was both excited and nervous to see my dress in its entirety! My mom wasn't able to make it to the fitting, but bridesmaid Annie was there to lend her moral support! :)

As expected, the dress was not completely finished but at least it was a piece of clothing I could actually try on - as opposed to the bodice fittings I had for my first two visits! It was very pretty, but there were a couple things about the dress I wasn't crazy about. I won't go into detail here so as not to give away any secret details to the lurking fiance, but let's just say when I got home I was a bit disappointed. I had taken some pictures of my dress and the more and more I looked at them the more unhappy I was. I emailed the pictures to my mom, Aunt Barbara & Jen - all of whom said I had nothing to worry about and that it was beautiful. However, I still felt unsettled. I contacted the dress designer a day or so later to express my concerns. He assured me that my dress looked the way it should look, and that it would be beautiful and I would love it once it was all done. Not reassured, I felt there wasn't anything else for me to do so I started resigning myself to the fact that after all the searching I did I would not in fact walk down the aisle in the dress of my dreams (if there actually even is such a thing.) Then, a few days later I got another email back from my dress designer. He said he was going to take the dress apart, order new material, and re-create the parts I was unhappy with. I was so happy to hear that he finally understood my concern and was willing to take steps to fix it! For the next few weeks I wondered to myself how my fourth fitting would turn out...
