Today we got a glimpse into how celebrities feel when the paparazzi are after them. Well, maybe not exactly... but we definitely got some practice smiling nice for the camera! We met our wedding photographer (for the first time!) this afternoon in Central Park, where he took some "engagement" (never mind that we are only 17 days away from being married, yikes!) pictures of us, in all our engaged fiance/fiancee glory. :) Aside from the fact that the photographer was 40 minutes late, it turned out to be a really fun day!
We walked around to a few different spots in the park, posing and smiling and staring lovingly into one another's eyes. He prompted us to hold hands and kiss quite often (woohoo!) and at one point muttered something that sounded suspiciously similar to "Shep give her tongue", which shocked and cracked both of us up!
The day turned out to be beautiful -- the morning clouds parted, the sun came out, and it got into the 60s by the afternoon -- which was a very welcome development since it's been cold and raining like a scene from Noah's Ark for the past few days, and likely going to do so again for the next few days. Even though rain and thunderstorms were predicted for today when I scheduled the session last week, we didn't have much of a choice since the weather forecast has been so repetitively depressing and we're running out of time here if you know what I mean. So I analyzed the weather.com forecast, chose today, and hoped for the best -- and we sure lucked out! Seeing as I'm never really good at gambling, I have a feeling someone up above helped us out with the weather today and I'd like to thank him for that and let him know I've been thinking about him all day. Thanks for the help Grandpa, we love you! xoxo
