That's right, folks... my pre-wedding spending has officially set off alarms at financial institutions. ;) Like I said, it's a wonder this hasn't happened sooner! And to tell the truth, it was actually pretty fun responding "yep!" and "that's mine!" and nodding emphatically as the kind customer service rep rattled a handful of charges from the last 2 days off to me... as he giggled to himself in amusement while I explained in my defense that "this is normal spending for someone about to get married". He kindly "thanked me for being such a valued card member" and congratulated me on my upcoming nuptials before hanging up, and no doubt thanked the heavens that he was not my groom-to-be. ;) Even more entertaining to me than all the charges he rattled was the absence of charges for 3 of the 8 pairs of shoes I ordered on Sunday night - imagine if those had shipped already?! He would've called the shopaholic police on me! Now don't get me wrong, it's not necessarily fun to leak money like a broken fire hydrant in summer, but I like to see the glass as half full, so it was kind of rewarding to realize exactly how much I've apparently *accomplished* in the past couple days! Checking off action items is a good thing, remember?! Hooray for me and my buddy the credit card - we get things done. :)

a little comic relief..
Something pretty funny happened this morning. This occurrence was not completely out-of-the-blue; in fact I'm surprised it hasn't happened sooner. This morning I received a text message from my credit card company, with an early fraud detection alert. You're probably thinking to yourself, "Gee, Nicole, that's not at all funny!", and normally you'd be right. The comedic factor though is that all the charges that triggered the "fraud suspicion" were in fact mine, haha!!! And guess what?!?! They were ALL wedding expenses!
