Nicole and I packed up everything we needed for the Wedding Convoy to East Wind. This included, but was not limited to: cufflinks, wedding dress, two veils, two tiaras (don't ask), tuxedos, jewelry, marriage license, shoes, extra shoes, presents, wrapping paper, Nicole's rehearsal bouquet, seating cards, framed photographs of grandparents, seating charts, matches, guestbook cards, suits, ties, booze, cameras, two laptops, snacks, shampoo, more makeup than an entire flock of women could possibly need, socks, extra booze, ornaments, our wedding invitation, ceremony programs, to-do lists galore, flower girl head wreaths, frills, schwag, holders, containers, suitcases, other assorted miscellany and the contents of our entire bathroom. Seriously, we grabbed almost every toiletry item we own. There was no chance that either of us would be saying "oh shoot, I forgot my...." while getting ready for our wedding. It looked like we were moving to another hemisphere, not simply spending three days in Long Island. The Convoy moved out from the Sky Club base of operations around 2230 hours (about 700 hours later than scheduled, naturally) with minimal air support and a prayer for good luck. The failsafe point was passed somewhere on the Queens Midtown Tunnel and all units were a-go for marriage!

Oh what a blast from the past... thanks for the trip down memory lane, hubby! As you know very well I can usually pack like nobody's business while you keep a level head and try to remove things from my suitcase while I'm not looking... but I have to admit this packing job was EXTRA overloaded due to our double paranoia over forgetting something! :)
